Indigenous Educator, Gamer Nerd, Content Creator

Chokma, Halito, Hola, Hello, I’m Angee Noel!

About Me:

I am an Indigenous (Chickasaw, Choctaw, Mississippi Choctaw, and Mexican) Educator and Content Creator whose work sits at the intersection of gaming, STEM, and higher education. With over a decade of professional experience across education, public service, nonprofit organizations, and tribal and state agencies, I bring a community-centered, culturally grounded approach to learning, advocacy, and digital engagement. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Family Life Education with a focus on Child Development and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership focusing on College Student Development, my academic foundation informs everything I do, from the classroom to the content I create.

Throughout my career, I have consistently brought innovation and intention to every role I have held. From establishing a student-choice school pantry as a student activities coordinator, to hosting 5Ks for middle and high school students, to organizing a Native American Student Banquet at the university level, to developing after-school and summer programming, to providing parent education as a parent educator, to developing social media strategies that increased parent engagement as a program director, to adapting recruitment and retention efforts through virtual programming during the COVID-19 pandemic, I have continuously found creative ways to meet communities where they are. My background in child welfare deepened my ability to work with diverse populations with compassion and cultural humility, while my experience in program development sharpened my skills in data analysis, strategic planning, and relationship building. As an Indigenous woman, I bring a critical lens to my work, centering the experiences of marginalized students and advocating for more equitable, accessible, and community-centered systems.

As the founder of Gaming is Rezilience, I lead initiatives that integrate gaming, STEM education, and higher education pathways while uplifting Indigenous representation in digital and academic spaces. I currently serve as an adjunct professor, teaching life skills courses and developing collegiate esports curriculum that expands access to emerging technology fields. My approach combines student development theory, esports pedagogy, and culturally grounded frameworks to create inclusive, empowering learning environments.

I have been an active member of the Twitch gaming community since December 2017 and have grown into a recognized voice in the space. I have participated in several Twitch Rivals events and have spoken on Twitch panels, including at Twitch headquarters. Through educational livestreams including NAHM Trivia, Indigenous Horror Jeopardy, Women's History Month Jeopardy, and Native and Latine-focused gaming events, I have raised over $4,000 for Indigenous and women-focused nonprofits. My work has been featured in Essence, People of Color in Tech, HerCampus, and RedPOP! News.

I serve on the Oklahoma Native American Students in Higher Education Committee, contribute to multiple SACNAS committees, including the Native American/Indigenous Affairs Committee, sit on the stewardship board for AUNTIE Tech Collective, serve on the Board of Directors for Oklahoma Women in Technology, and serve as a Techlahoma Ambassador. I also actively participate in Twitch Unity Guilds and lead local Twitch Community MeetUps as the co-founder of the Indigenous Alliance on Twitch, continuing my mission to increase visibility and representation for Indigenous creators in digital spaces.

The work I do stems from community because I am from community and have worked throughout the community. That has always been, and will always be, the foundation of everything I do.
